1. In order to use Melt, you must be 13 or older. You may share age-appropriate posts with people younger than 13, but only 13+ users may own and operate an account/profile. EDIT AS OF MAY 13 2025: The demo and testing are currently available to all users at all times. Once the platform goes live, we will have to take back this privilege.
2. You are responsible for any content or anything that happens on your account.
3. As of May 13, 2025, we do not share or lease your information to third parties to personalize ads. This term will be updated if Melt ever uses data (you are completely free to decline this at any time.)
4. We are trying our best to keep your data, accounts and any other information in check while you use the service, but since no online transmission is 100% secure, we must say we cannot guarantee airtight protection. You accept all risks associated with using our platform.
5. Melt cannot be responsible for the actions of your fellow users, or anyone who uses the service in general. If you encounter inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content, you must block the person and report them here.
6. Again, you accept all risks associated with using the service. As acknowledgement of using our service, you hereby waive all right to sue, take legal action, or claim compensation against our company or our platform (Melt, Inc.) DEAR PARENTS: PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE ONLINE. WE ARE CONSTANTLY EVOLVING, BUT WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MONITOR USERS AS OFTEN AS THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS CAN. IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS, PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN OFF THE PLATFORM.
7. When you sign up for an account, we will automatically assume permission to use any of your content uploaded on the platform (ex:images, posts, stories, etc.) in our promotional materials, or just or any other uses. You will still own your content, but we will have a license to use the content in any way.
8. This is a PG-13 site overall, TV-14 at most. Operate under the assumption that everyone is 13-14. Small jokes hinting at suggestive content, some violence, infrequent strong language, etc. are allowed, but please remember that we have many minors on this site.
